The Southern Alberta Art Gallery is excited to partner with Helen Schuler Nature Centre and Alberta Community Bat Program to present Batravaganza, a special Halloween event centered around our favourite furry flying creatures: bats! Join us at the Gallery to learn about the important role bats play in our community. We will have games, crafts, and candy. Visitors of all ages are welcome. Wear a costume and get in free!
While you’re in the Gallery, be sure to check out Gabi Dao’s video Lucifer Falls from Heaven at Dawn in the lower gallery exhibition What breaks on the horizon? to follow the story of Lucifer the bat marionette as they search for their bat companions.
