Create a hand-built mushroom house with a removable lid/roof in this two-day workshop with Artist in Residence Solange Roy. During the first day focus on the body of the mushroom house and any details such as windows, doors, bushes, and other decorations. On the second day form the roof/lid, finishing details, and underglaze colours. Previous clay experience is recommended, as this is not a beginner’s project. Materials provided.

This fall, Casa will be hosting artist Solange Roy, as part of the Artist in Residence (AiR) program from August 28 – September 25, 2023.

Solange Roy is a ceramic artist from Winnipeg, Manitoba of Cree and Métis descent. Roy creates masterful, colourful ceramic sculptures, and will expand upon a project from her undergrad during her stay.
