The Allied Arts Council (AAC) was formed in 1958 by a visionary group of people who believed arts and culture were critical for a healthy and vibrant Lethbridge. Sixty plus years later, the AAC continues to encourage, coordinate and promote the arts in Lethbridge and area.
The AAC is a membership-based organization, supporting more than 150 arts organizations and artists. We provide a coordinated effort in promoting the activities of artists and arts organizations in Lethbridge and area as well as engaging the community through the presentation of annual arts events designed to provide artists with the opportunity to share their creativity.
The AAC also manages Casa, Lethbridge’s community arts centre, on behalf of the City of Lethbridge. Casa is a multidisciplinary, multi-generation, multi-ability arts creation centre. Within Casa, we manage a flourishing and affordable education program that provides over 200 classes for children, youth, homeschoolers, adults, adults with disabilities and persons transitioning from homelessness to first homes. Casa offers shared studio space to artists on a daily, monthly or yearly basis. Casa is also home to The Gallery at Casa a free, public gallery that features artists with a connection to the Lethbridge region.
Please consider supporting the arts in Lethbridge through a gift to the Allied Arts Council.
