ArtStage Act II: an evening with the arts

January 16, 2010 – 8pm at the Yates Memorial Centre as Music, Dance, Theatre, Literary and Visual Arts collide on the same stage.

Lieutenant Governor of Alberta Distinguished Artist Awards


The Allied Arts Council of Lethbridge, in partnership with the City of Lethbridge, are proud to be hosting the Lieutenant Governor of Alberta Distinguished Arts Awards on June 6, 2015. The awards are Alberta’s most prestigious recognition of outstanding achievement in the arts.

Saturday, June 6

Gala-only tickets are $25.00 per person.  Tickets are available at the Allied Arts Council (318 7 St S, 403.320.0555) office until Friday, June 5 @ 5:00pm.  Tickets will be available on Saturday at the door.

Award recipients include Puppeteer extraordinaire, Ronnie Burkett of Toronto, renowned soprano, Frances Ginzer, Calgary, and internationally acclaimed artist Peter von Tiesenhausen of Demmitt, Alberta.  The three will receive Alberta’s highest arts recognition, the Lieutenant Governor of Alberta Distinguished Artist Award.

The event will include a Gala Performance and Awards Ceremony directed by Jeremy Mason, featuring musical performances by:

  • Nuela Charles: Edmonton‐based R&B/Jazz singer/songwriter
  • Transit: Calgary-based Hip hop/spoken word artist
  • Troy Emery Twigg: Lethbridge‐based dancer and choreographer will also be presenting a dance performance.

A celebration dinner will be held at the Lethbridge Lodge following the awards ceremony. Adding to the celebratory evening will be pop‐up art experiences by local performance, visual and culinary artists.
