John Wort Hannam Trio
John Wort Hannam has been on his roots-fueled troubadour journey for two decades, spinning song writing gold from the chaff of the lives he has encountered and within his fertile imagination. Twenty two years into his career, he shows no sign of slowing down. In fact, he appears to be gaining both momentum and a wider audience, winning two 2023 Canadian Folk Music Awards for Solo Artist of the Year and Contemporary Album of the Year. Add to this, two of the finest Canadian instrumentalists – Scott Duncan on fiddle (The Wardens, Barrage) and Jason Valleau on upright bass (The PolyJesters, Blake Reid Band) – and you have the John Wort Hannam Trio. With their three-part harmonies and intricate playing, it’s easy to see why audiences and critics alike hear something special in this trio’s narrative, lyrically driven songs.

The Lethbridge Folk Club, founded in 1979, is a non-profit organization run entirely by volunteers.
The Folk Club has operated in many different venues over the years, such as the German-Canadian Club, the Moose Hall and the Wolf’s Den in downtown Lethbridge & The Cave at Lethbridge College.
The Folk Club fulfills its mission by hosting concerts and open stages regularly. Folk, roots, blues, bluegrass and Canadiana are a few of the genres we explore, finding notable musicians for you to experience.
