The Allied Arts Council and Casa are responding to new guidelines from Alberta Health Services (December 9) and are pivoting to meet the challenges. Please look for new updates within the next 24 hours.

AAC Works will be open from 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday. We encourage customers to shop on-line at Curbside pick-up is available Monday through Friday.

All visitors will be required to maintain a social distance of two meters. As per City & Provincial bylaw, masks are required in all public spaces. Enhanced cleaning measures of our facilities will be taking place daily.


Casa Re-Opens in Lethbridge
The Allied Arts Council of Lethbridge (AAC) would like to announce the re-opening of Casa on Saturday, June 12, 2021. The building has been closed since December 2020 due to AHS restrictions. Access to the building will remain limited but the majority of Casa programming will be resuming as we enter the province’s Stage 2. All visitors can access Casa through the South Entrance facing 3 Avenue South. Everyone will be required to wear masks and maintain a physical distance of two meters. Enhanced cleaning measures of our facilities will be taking place daily.

Artists with Annual and Monthly Studio Access will be welcomed to Casa, by appointment only. Studio Access will be available 10:00 am – 9:00 pm; Monday through Friday and 10:00 am to 5:00 pm; Saturdays and Sundays. Appointments are available on a first-come, first-served basis by contacting 403.327.2272.

We’re excited to once again have Children’s Art Camps in July and August for cohorts of 6 to 8 children. The weeklong camps will have creative opportunities for kids aged 6-8 and 9-12 in clay, textiles, drawing, painting, collage, printmaking and sculpture. Enhanced safety and cleaning protocols will be in place throughout. Camps will run full days from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm; Monday through Friday. Registration for art camps is now open. Adult Art Education will be resuming Clay Wheel Classes mid-July! Through July and August, register for outdoor Life Drawing on the Square with costumed models posing for artists of all skill levels. Visit the website to find out dates, costs and to see more upcoming creative opportunities as they are programmed. We expect registration to fill up early.

The Gallery at Casa will re-open July 3, 2020 with Inside-Out Summer. This exhibition will include a Summer Salon throughout the building showcasing works by local artists. Visitors can also investigate two installations on Rotary Square in the Artist Kiosks as well as 5 shadowbox installations affixed to the banner poles on Rotary Square. Artworks inside and in the Artist Kiosks will be available during business hours. The shadowboxes will be accessible 24 hours a day.

Casa facility rentals resume as movement classes such as dance and yoga are allowed under the current health orders. Restrictions on activities are contingent on AHS’s current orders. Please call to inquire about rental opportunities at Casa.
